Halloween Costume workshop
Do you need a little bit of help putting the final touches on a costume? Or do you not even know where to start?
Join us for a cozy Saturday afternoon workshop! We will have sewing machines, fabric, glue guns, cardboard…and if there’s anything you think you might need, email us ahead of time and we will try to be prepared!
Beginner beading: Fidget time
Learn to make pony bead fidget toys.
New teacher alert!
Come meet our fifth founder and facilitator of fidget fun (that's a lot of FFFFs!), Sab Juhaszs! They will help us get our fingers around the hyperfocus of the day, creating fidget toys from pony beads. A lot of you have asked for a beading workshop, but we figured that before we start stringing teeny, tiny glass beads together we would start with something a bit easier. All materials are provided, and we look forward to seeing you there!
Fall Fest
Fall Fest is a fun-filled community celebration hosted by Voice of English Speaking Quebec in partnership with the Central Quebec School Board.
We will have a table set with with information about the new Ta-da creative community. Come and find us!
Atelier: Sashiko
Sashiko is the Japanese art of repetitive running stitch — a way to reinforce, repair, and beautify fabric all at once. Meditative, accessible, and honestly really satisfying.
Bring something that you want to embroider, or just come to learn the technique. No experience needed. Thread and materials provided.
This workshop is free, offered in partnership with Quebec High School. Spots are limited — 15 maximum.
Poetry and painting workshop
This is a two-part workshop: first we paint intuitively, letting go of “getting it right.” Then we write, using the painting as material. You’ll leave with a small painting and a poem — or at least the start of one.
No painting or writing experience needed
Shrinky Dink Charms
Come spend the evening with us making simple charms for jewelry and keychains! We will supply the plastic, drawing implements, and the hardware to make a charm bracelet.
We look forward to seeing you!
Printing Workshop 2
Learn cyanotype and turmeric printing! We have two sessions set up in case the first weekend isn't sunny (sun is required for these types of prints). We will have a number of other types of printing to teach as a backup, so you can sign up for either session, or both! There will be plenty to learn, and do.

Junk journaling
Come junk journal with us!
We will supply blank journals and have lots of materials for collages. If you have a drawer of old tickets, stickers, photos, and brochures that you have always intedned to lovingly create a scrapbook with, this is their moment to shine! It's not perfect, but it's fun, messy, and the result is usually way more exciting than a carefully curated scrapbook. Come glue, stamps, draw, and sew with us!
What the week left behind
Bring something small from your week — a text, a grocery list, a stray sentence someone said to you. We’ll turn it into a painting, then turn the painting back into words. No painting or writing experience needed. Just bring a scrap and an open hand.

UFO Workshop
Calling all UnFinished Objects (UFOs)! Bring in your projects that have been languishing and let’s get into a creative groove together. If there are supplies that you are missing in order to complete your chef d’oeuvre, reach out to us and see if we’ve got you covered.
If you attended one of our other workshops at QHS and you want to keep working on that project, this event is also for you!
Sign up here; spaces are limited!
Needle Felting
From workshops to community gatherings, here's what we have coming up. Mark your calendar—we'd love to see you there.

No rules here — just you, some paint, and whatever comes out. Intuitive painting is an invitation to let go and let color lead. Facilitated by Québec City artist Amanda Jeanne. Whether you've painted before or never touched a brush, you belong here.
